Scientific Officer - Training Development

This is a Temporary, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

This specified-purpose role focuses on designing and developing training materials for regulatory assessors of human medicines across the European regulatory network. You will collaborate with colleagues from the HPRA and subject matter experts (SMEs) within the network to create digital learning solutions that support assessors in navigating an increasingly complex scientific landscape.

The successful candidate will be based at the HPRA and contribute to a major European initiative titled “Supporting the Increased Capacity and Competence Building of the EU Medicines Regulatory Network” (IncreaseNET) – Click here for further information. This role will support the delivery of Work Package 5, which aims to enhance the current approach to training development within the European regulatory network.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A background in a scientific discipline
  • A demonstrated interest and aptitude for educating others
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills.

As IncreaseNET is a dynamic and evolving project, a willingness to continuously develop your own skill set is essential. We’re looking for someone with a proactive attitude toward learning and growth.

Importantly, formal qualifications or prior experience in digital development or instructional design are not essential. The successful candidate will have enthusiasm for using technology creatively to communicate information. The role holder will also receive ongoing support and training from the IncreaseNET learning design team.
